This year’s INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Conference (ISEC), a gathering of social entrepreneurs, social innovators, and the eco-system surrounding them (including impact investors) focused on Technology, Innovation and Social Change and took place on 25 and 26 April 2013 in Madrid, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).
The discussions and activities focused on how innovative applications of technology, both high-tech and basic-tech, enable social entrepreneurs to address important unmet social needs and make a sustainable social impact.
Social entrepreneurs in education, health, energy, rural development and women empowerment, showed innovative experiences in INSEAD 2013. Speakers and participants had ample oportunity to meet and exchange ideas during round table discussion.
