On 7 June at 15:30 we will talk about the importance of improving the quality of the air we breathe in our homesthrough Nature Based Solutions.
What will the session be like?
The volume of air we breathe each day weighs almost twice as much as the food we eat. Therefore, the quality of that air is as important as paying attention to the food and drink we consume.
Currently 1 in 2 people in the world live in a city and almost half of the world’s cities have poor air quality. There is data showing that more than 60% of cities with air quality measuring equipment exceed the pollution limit values set by the World Health Organisation. And even more: almost the entire world’s population breathes polluted air that exceeds the minimum levels of good air quality on a daily basis.
Given all this evidence, we ask ourselves where the polluted air we breathe in our homes and offices comes from, how to recognise our body’s signals to identify poor air quality and what actions we can take to improve it.
After the presentation, there will be a space for dialogue with the audience.
