ClimaX guide to organising an
event in your community

The ClimaX Guide summarises the spirit of “Compromiso con el Clima”, an event promoted annually by Madrid City Council, itdUPM, the Montemadrid Foundation and La Casa Encendida, to celebrate the polyphony of projects that, from the civil, cooperative, educational or technical spheres, are committed to the climate on a daily basis. In 2023, itdUPM launched a challenge to Compromiso con el Clima: How to make a day on climate issues more socially inclusive?

Framed in the itdUPM’s line of work on just transition, the collaboration with Climate Commitment has had the cross-cutting objective of giving voice to initiatives whose focus is the social dimension. Under the slogan “All at once everywhere”, Compromiso con el Clima now aims to go beyond the limits of the annual event through ClimaX: a series of events aimed at launching climate micro-missions in different communities in Madrid.

If you are interested in launching a climate mission in your community, whatever your scale and whatever your budget, the ClimaX Guide helps you identify your micro-mission and walks you step-by-step through the process of organising a ClimaX event in your community.
