Iberdrola Chair for the Sustainable Development Goals. At itdUPM, we have been collaborating steadily with Iberdrola since 2014. That year, the company and the Polytechnic University of Madrid created the Chair for the Universalization of Basic Energy Services, and over the following two years, they developed a series of activities aimed at consolidating a university-business relationship model capable of addressing the challenges of the international development agenda.
Following the approval of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, this chair was renamed the Iberdrola-UPM Chair for the SDGs, thus orienting its activity towards contributing to the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda. This collaboration is thus configured as a space for shared learning and support for the implementation of the SDGs at Iberdrola, with the following main initiatives being developed:
