Faced with the climate emergency we are facing, schools are key strategic nodes capable of catalysing the transition to climate neutrality. These institutions are educators of citizens, decision-makers and powerful social mobilisers. However, education for sustainable development and climate action are not yet meaningfully integrated into school curricula and teacher training.
It is for these reasons that the Clim-Action: educational alliance for climate action project was born. Its main objective is to facilitate curriculum integration and the implementation of education for climate action in educational institutions as a school project.
One of the first results of Clim-Acción, which initially focuses on Madrid, has been the creation of a repository that compiles and systematises programmes offered to schools by different organisations. Esta herramienta pretende facilitarle a las escuelas el proceso de búsqueda de información y selección de los diferentes programas disponibles. En simultáneo, procura conectar y amplificar el alcance de programas educativos para la acción climática que las diferentes organizaciones ofertan.
