During 2015, the itdUPM will develop a series of starting-point papers that will contribute to stimulate the debate on several key issues on the international agenda for sustainability. Each document will be the working basis of each thematic block of the next international conference “Technology and Innovation for Human Development” that itdUPM is organizing in 24-25 June this year.
Below you will find additional documentation, which is based on the participation of itdUPM in several projects, as well as in previous documents that have been produced by different researchers and alumni of the Master in Technology for Human Development (UPM), and the contrast meeting with various groups of interest.
The five initiatives chosen for this study include four models from Latin America and, with a view to transnational learning and comparison with another region, a model from South Africa which has received international acclaim for its innovative municipal approach to water and sanitation delivery.
