Objective
The Platform aims to accelerate integration into green jobs by connecting companies that anticipate their labor needs with qualified individuals to adapt to those profiles through training and support. Its focus is on people at risk of social exclusion, such as those with lower educational levels, older people, or those living in areas with limited job opportunities, and those with opportunities in green sectors driven by the ecological transition. In this context, the Platform contributes to various political agendas, such as the Climate Change Law, the Just Transition Strategy (2019), the National Energy and Climate Plan (2020), Digital Spain 2025, and the Recovery Plan linked to the Next Generation EU funds, aligning its actions with the objectives of sustainability and labor market transformation. An example of this contribution is Green at You, a European project associated with the Platform that promotes training in green and digital jobs in four subsectors of the circular economy: renewable energy, sustainable construction, building renovation, and agriculture and food production. Through this initiative, the commitment to the ecological transition and the creation of job opportunities in strategic sectors is reinforced.
Our role
In this project, itdUPM acted as a facilitator and intermediary with the Polytechnic University of Madrid, establishing links with various schools, professors, and key areas to promote and implement training initiatives within the framework of the platform and its projects.
