HUB Empleo Verde offers training and employment to vulnerable young people and other groups at risk of social exclusion. Since its launch in 2022, more than 1,205 people have learned about and accessed green employment opportunities thanks to this project. In addition, 373 participants have benefited from the program and 243 green employment itineraries have been carried out..
During the ceremony, different entities that have collaborated in the development of programs related to the objectives of the HUB were recognized. The categories were: social entities, training centers and universities, public administrations, companies and entrepreneurship. “All these achievements are the result of the work in alliance between different participating agents and for this reason, we wanted to share them with you through this award ceremony,” said Graciela de la Morena, director of the Konecta Foundation and in charge of presenting the awards.
In the category of training centers and universities, the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and INGEUS were awarded for their work on the Green Jobs Platform, a partnership to connect the new jobs generated by the green transition with people in vulnerable situations. The award was presented to Lorenzo Olivier, professor in the Department of Architectural Construction and Technology. In addition, the event was attended by representatives of the UPM Lifelong Learning Service such as Begoña de Castro López and Alvaro Ridruejo.
